Setup iOS 18 Email

The purpose of this page is to describe how to set up an OlympusNet email account on an iOS device. If your account is already set up and you need to make changes to it, go to Change iOS 18 Email Settings.

The email setup for iPads is similar to iPhones.

Domain customers use username@your-domain.com wherever janedoe@olympus.net appears, and mailc11.megamailservers.com for the Host Names.

  1. Select the Settings icon from the Home screen, then select Apps.

  2. From the options, select Mail.
    Select Mail

  3. Select Mail Accounts.

  6. Select Add Mail Account.
    Add Mail Account

  7. In the New Account dialog box, enter your name as you’d like it to appear to correspondents, add your email address and OlympusNet email password. If you have more than one OlympusNet account you may want to use a name in the Description field that matches the email username, to tell one Olympus email from the other (Olympus is the default name in the Description.) Then select Next in the upper right corner.
    New Account

  8. In the next dialog box, enter your data in the fields for the Incoming and Outgoing mail servers.
All of the fields are required; none are optional.
The Incoming and Outgoing Host Name for username@olympus.net is: mail.userservices.net
The Incoming and Outgoing Host Name for username@your-domain.com is: mailc11.megamailservers.com
Enter your email address for User Name, then enter your email password.
Select Next in the upper right corner.
The device will attempt to connect to both Incoming (IMAP) and Outgoing (SMTP) mail servers when you select Next.
    Server Settings

  9. After selecting Next, notice your device begins showing that it is Verifying.
    Verifying

If there is an error, the following message appears …
This account may not be able to send or receive emails. Are you sure you want to save?
Select Save so that you don’t have to reenter the data again. Instead, once the account is saved, the data can be corrected only where needed.
To correct the error, re-select Account Settings from the previous window and double-check for typos in the fields you can read - the Host Name and User Name. If there seem to be no typos, retype the password in both Incoming and Outgoing Password fields. Again, select Next in the upper right if you’ve made any corrections. If the errors persist, contact OlympusNet and we’ll work out the errors with you.
  10. Once the system has verified the settings, the window title will change to IMAP. Select Save in the upper right corner.

    Save

Mail will be enabled and Notes disabled by default.
We recommend leaving Notes disabled. (For information on enabling Notes, see …
Use Notes on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch and
Set up iCloud for Notes on all your devices)
  11. To update settings or make corrections at any time, see Change iOS 18 Email Settings.
