Home Directory

1.When you log in to the server with your FTP program, you will log in to your Home directory. The Home directory is expressed with a forward slash (/). See also Domain Website FTP Settings. 2. After you log in to your Home directory, you will see these folders:

  1. cgi-bin: This is the place for your CGI scripts.
  2. databases: This is where your databases are stored.
  3. logs: This is the place where log files are stored. These files are automatically generated by the server.
  4. private: This is a directory used to store files and folders that cannot be viewed by a Web browser. For example, a password file could be stored in the private directory.
  5. public: This is the directory where your HTML files are stored and can be viewed by a Web browser.
