Setup iOS 14 Email

The purpose of this page is to describe how to set up an email account in iOS 14, iPad or iPhone, to work with OlympusNet email servers. See Change iOS 14 Email Settings to update a changed Password or Server Names in an established account.

  1. Select Settings from the Home screen, then select Mail, then select Accounts.
    Add Account

  2. Select Add Account.
  3. Scroll down and select Other.
    Other

  4. Select Add Mail Account.
    Add Mail Account

  5. Enter your name, email address, and email password.
Tip: if adding more than one email address, using the email address for Description will make it easier in the future to identify the account if one of them needs editing. If you have only one account, the default Olympus is fine. The Description field does not “act” in the settings; it is just a name. You may get red auto-correct marks in the entry using the email address; ignore them.
Select Next in the upper right.
    New Account

  6. Enter the Host Name, User Name, and email password as described below, into the appropriate fields.
    Host Name for username@olympus.net: mail.userservices.net
    Host Name for username@your-domain.com: mailc11.megamailservers.com
Both Incoming Mail Server and Outgoing Mail Server Host Names are the same.
The screenshot example below shows an olympus.net email account.
Leave the default on IMAP. IMAP is best for phones and tablets. Select Next when finished.
    IMAP Settings

  7. The device will show you that it is Verifying your entries. If you’ve made a typo, Verify will fail. Double-check all the spellings of email address and Host names. If there are no typos, retype both Incoming and Outgoing passwords and select Next to try the Verify cycle again.
    Verify

  8. After the account verifies successfully, it shows Mail as green. Enable Notes as needed. Select Save in the upper right.
    Save

  9. If the following error screen appears, select Save. That will permit you to go back in to make a correction later without setting up the account over again. This error may come up if iOS is not connected to WiFi and is unable to finish the Verify process.
