Setup Outlook Express

If Outlook Express fails to send or receive using the settings shown below, you may have to download and install an alternative email application or upgrade your operating system. Microsoft no longer supports Outlook Express (or Windows XP, on which it is typically installed).

  1. Open Outlook Express.
  2. If this is the first time you have started the program, the mail setup wizard will automatically open. If it does, skip ahead to step 4. If the wizard does not start, click the Tools menu and select Accounts.
  3. Click the Mail tab at the top of the Internet Accounts dialog box. Click the Add button in the upper right corner and select Mail from the menu.
