Modify OS X Thunderbird Email

Note: Thunderbird does not have a password field in the settings once an account has been set up. If your email password has been changed with your provider, simply quit Thunderbird. When Thunderbird is relaunched, it will prompt you to enter the (new) password before it opens, and will then save the new one.

For problems with Thunderbird, it is always a good idea to try reinstalling the latest version of Thunderbird from mozilla.org. In this document the screenshots show the fictitious account, janedoe@olympus.net.

The purpose of this page is to describe how an existing email account may be modified to work with OlympusNet email servers.
